Custom Quilting Services
Are you a piecemaker with more tops than completed quilts? If so, that's where I come in. I will complete your tops with basic quilting designs at a reasonable price. Quilting is completed via free motion quilting method. No two quilts will be the same. This is not computerized edge to edge quilting. My longarm, George, is a Moxie ST model - which just means it is a sit down longarm and I do the work.
Below are two choices for you to select from. Choose what works within your budget. Please use the Contact Me tab for more information. I will work with all budgets.
Pricing:
Choice 1: Hourly Rate: $15 includes thread
Approximate time frames based on basic meander quilting:
Crib - 1 hour
Throw - 1.5 - 2 hours
Twin - 2.5 hours - 3 hours
Queen - 4 hours - 5 hours
King - 5 hours - 6 hours
Batting:
You supply: No Charge
I supply: Additional charge of
- Crib: 45" x 60" | Price: $10
- Throw: 60" x 60" | Price: $15
- Twin: 72" x 90" | Price: $20
- Queen: 90" x 108" | Price: $30
- King: 120" x 120" | Price: $40
Notes:
- You supply the backing which must be 8 inches larger than the quilt top. Any scrap fabric will be returned to you. Please press or starch as you desire prior to shipping to me.
- You are responsible for the cost of shipping to me, and I will ship it back to you.
- Binding and squaring of the quilt are not included.
- As a side note, the simpler the quilting design (meander), the less your cost will be. The more intricate (micro quilting) increases the cost because of the time it takes. Check out my blog on the home page for information on different types of quilting.
- You will be charged on actual quilting time. There is no charge for basting.
Choice 2:
Contact me for square inch pricing based on complexity and stitching density. Prices range from $.02 to $.15. Includes batting.
*Quilts will be held for three months. Unpaid invoices after three months will be sold to recoup my expenses. Approximate 2-week turnaround time.
